SE Coast Chapter Bald Head Island walk
(9 A.M. - 2 P.M.)Dr. Paul Hosier, Biology and Marine Biology professor at UNCW, will lead a walk on Bald Head Island, Dr. Hosier will focus on the role of geology in determining the Cape Fear area’s plant communities and species distribution.

Walk at Holly Shelter Game Land - Greentree Impoundment
(2 P.M. - 4 P.M.)Celebrate the cooler weather with a floodplain forest walk. Alistair and Charlotte Glen, owners of Growing Wild Nursery, will lead a walk along the NE Cape Fear River on Sunday, October 10.
Meet at the NC Wildlife Resources Commission boat ramp off Shaw Highway at 2 P.M. We will return to the parking lot by 4 P.M.
