Wild Orchids Across Scenic North Carolina

- When and how to find native orchids and and conservation issues with orchids

- This presentation focuses on the history of the Endangered Species Act, how it has affected rare plant conservation efforts, and what is being done across the southeastern US today to stop the decline of many endangered plants. Attention will also be given to the Endangered Species collection at the Duke Gardens, its design and construction, and how it functions today.
