Reid Wild Flower Garden - Easter Open Garden(2 PM to 5 PM) )
Event Sponsor: Margaret Reid Chapter
Come enjoy the magic of native woodland wild flowers in bloom on Easter afternoon in the Reid Garden in Raleigh - and invite your friends also!
The Reid Wild Flower Garden is a private 1.5-acre woodland garden featuring plants native to the Triangle area. Given the early Easter date this year, the show will be different than the species usually blooming on Easter. We would particularly appreciate volunteers to greet and help show people around the garden during this afternoon.
The Reid Garden was created and nurtured over the last 50 years by Margaret Reid, and now stewarded by the current owners, with help from Reid Chapter volunteers and friends of the garden. It is protected by a conservation easement held by Triangle Land Conservancy.
The property is located at 1439 Dixie Trail, Raleigh - corner of Dixie Trail and Lewis Farm Rd. Park on Lewis Farm Rd. Contact Amy Mackintosh (mackintosh.amy @ gmail) if you have questions or to volunteer to help with this event.
