There are several considerations when uploading images, but they are not difficult ones.
You will always start by pressing the Upload File button beneath the Preview, Quicksave, and Update buttons.
The first page you'll see looks like this:
The File Upload section is for when you need to actually upload an image from your hard drive up to the server.
The File Browser section is for when you already have uploaded a file but wish to use it somewhere.
The Destination and Source directory is always the "Main Plant Images Upload Directory". Other directories will exist for other purposes, but all the plant images and thumbnails are in this one directory (located at /images/plants/)
First, you need to select the image you wish to upload from your hard drive by clicking the Browse button.
Your familiar file-browser dialog will appear, allowing you to navigate to the folder where the image you want to upload resides. Here, there is one file we can upload - Blowing Rock 024.jpg. (The two files ending in .bmp will have to be converted to .jpg files before they could be used on the web.)
To select Blowing Rock 024.jpg for uploading, either double-click the image name or highlight it and either click "Open" or press Enter to select the file. You will be returned to the File Upload page with the file's path now entered in the textbox.
Click on the "Upload" button to upload the file.
If you recieve a warning dialog saying:
...do not worry. If it is the same image, you may desire to resize it to a different size, for instance (see in a moment). In that case, simply overwrite the file and upload it again. If you want a different copy of the same image, re-upload it with an altered name.
Either way, and even if you receive no warning at all, something similar to the following dialog will appear.
